Happy New Year from Andermatt, Switzerland!
I’m kicking 2017 off with my snowboarding trip to Andermatt Switzerland. It started snowing heavily just a few days before we arrived, and now there’s a decent base at higher altitudes and a good 20-30 centimetres spread over everything in the town – it’s beautiful!
I’ve been snowboarding on and off for about 16 years. I ripped my ACL doing it five years ago, and since recovering from surgery I take it pretty easy and have turned into a bit of a flow-rider, but in a super cute town like Andermatt I’m just thrilled to be surrounded by a winter wonderland when it’s 30 degrees (86 Fahrenheit) back home in Sydney.
Burton kindly supplied me with some gear before I left, which is keeping me super warm, as the temperature has been ranging between -5 to -15 degrees (23 to 5 Fahrenheit) during my stay.
