Set up for Summer with Uniqlo
Hi everyone!
So I’m going to break up the roll out of my European summer posts with some of the typical street style looks that I wear every day and love. Here, with thanks to Uniqlo, I’ve styled up two looks that I think are prefect for Sydney’s summer (my girls in the Northern Hemisphere, maybe you can find a few Autumn days left for this???).
These are two great date looks for those who are in the business of romance right now. Neither of them try to hard to stand out, and I think subtlety is important on the first few dates. Get to know someone in a styled-up version of your everyday outfit and they’ll know just who they’re going to be loving years from now!
Ok in my first outfit (wow, Ash, what a surprise!) I’ve put together some denim shorts and a blazer! Hahahaa. Ok, ok a little predictable, but you just can’t go wrong with this look! Blazer! Blouse! Shorts! Heels! Handbag! BOOM! Recipe for success girls!
The blazer is the IDLF Flannel Jacket (a Uniqlo collab with Ines de la Fressange) from Uniqlo – luxurious and velvety but doesn’t crease easily, so if you need to take it off and leave it by your side while you’re sipping lattes, then no problem – it’ll still look fresh when you venture back out (because that’s all we street style bloggers do: walk down street with photographer, take FWIS, find cafe, repeat…).
I’ve kept is simple with the top – it matches the blazer for a reason, and that is that it doesn’t need to feature so much and helps create a colour block over the top half of my outfit. It is the Short Sleeve T Blouse from Uniqlo.
Colour only comes into the equation with my shorts and shoes, and you can see that it works nicely when I take the blazer off and carry it, which keeps the theme of the black punctuating the whole outfit. The shorts are Denim Micro Shorts from Uniqlo.
In my second outfit I’ve kept the colours pretty simple again, this time with a very cute little Sleeveless Blouse that I bought oversized to wear as a shirt dress, and this is topped with a slightly more formal blazer with gold buttons, the Stretch Blazer, and I’ve tied the Denim Long Sleeve Shirt around my waist as an accessory only – again, all from Uniqlo.
