My First Time Flying Philippine Airlines Business Class — And Why I’m Now Obsessed

@missgunnertiktok POV: You booked Philippine Airlines business class and suddenly forgot what economy even feels like 😏✈️ From the warm Filipino hospitality (seriously, they’re angels), to the lie-flat seat, to food that actually tastes like food—this flight was chef’s kiss. Catch me sipping champagne mid-air and pretending I’m in a K-drama. 🎥🍾 If you’re flying to Manila (or beyond), this is the way to go. #PhilippineAirlines #BusinessClassReview #TravelInStyle #GunnerTravels #LuxuryInTheSkies ♬ original sound – Ashley Schuberg

You know that moment when you board a flight not really knowing what to expect… and then end up low-key planning your next trip just so you can fly with the same airline again? Yeah, that was me on my first ever Philippine Airlines business class flight. Spoiler alert: it completely exceeded my expectations.

Let’s get into it, shall we?

1. Seat Configuration Goals

First off, the seat layout was chef’s kiss. Spacious, private, and with everything you need right within arm’s reach — it gave me that perfect mix of comfort and functionality. Whether you’re working mid-flight or just binge-watching a rom-com (guilty), it’s got you covered. And yes, it turns into a fully flat bed — more on that dreamy sleep moment later.

2. Filipino Hospitality Hits Different

The crew? Absolute angels. Seriously, the level of warmth and friendliness was next level. One of the lovely cabin crew even offered to help take an Instagram photo — I mean… iconic behavior. I’ve never felt more taken care of (or more photogenic at 30,000 feet).

3. That Food Though…

I had the pork adobo, and let me just say — it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Flavourful, comforting, and honestly better than some restaurants I’ve been to. They really know how to bring the soul of Filipino cuisine onboard, and it made the whole experience feel extra special.

4. Actually Slept Like a Baby

The ultra-flat bed setup wasn’t just flat in theory — it was legit comfy. I curled up, pulled on the blanket, and actually had quality sleep. No awkward mid-air tossing and turning here. Just pure snooze mode activated.

5. In-Flight Entertainment = Elite

The screen was nice and wide (we love good real estate), and the movie/TV selection was spot on. Whether you’re into Hollywood blockbusters or Asian dramas, you’ll have plenty to keep you entertained all flight long.

6. The Manila Lounge Was a Whole Vibe

My layover at the Manila lounge felt like a mini spa break. Great showers, delish lounge food, and cozy spaces to chill or get work done. It was the perfect pit stop to freshen up and reset before the next leg of the trip.

Final Thoughts? This flight really surprised me in the best way. Philippine Airlines business class has officially earned a top spot in my list of favourite airlines — and trust me, that list isn’t easy to get on. The comfort, the care, the cuisine… 10/10 would fly again. Actually, already planning on it.

If you’re heading to Manila (or just passing through), this is the way to do it.
