I‘m always going to be a Sydney girl at heart, but I’ve been living in Sydney since I was eight years old and now it’s time for my next adventure! A lot of people are asking what, when, who with, WHY????!! Hahaha so I figured I’ll just write it all down and share with you guys what I’m up to and what I will be up to.
It has always been a dream of mine to move away and live somewhere else! I have a long list of places that I would love to live in! LA, New York, Tokyo, Positano, Bangkok, Singapore and London. I really admire people who just pack up and leave and just go on an adventure of a life time.
For me I didn’t really have a chance to just pack up and leave, or at least I chose to stay because there was always a university degree to finish, or I was a broke student, had to work to pay off my degrees, boyfriends, looking for boyfriends, working and building my reputation in the dental world, buying a house, getting married, people get sick, dog got sick, taking care of your family… and the list goes on.
For the first time ever, I don’t have anything that I need to worry about and I can leave everything behind in a happy state and not feel guilty or bad. I am content and now I’m ready to take some time off and just go with the flow! It has taken me this long to finally feel content with everything that I have. It’s a good place to be.
Scott and I will fly out next week! A few of you thought I would be leaving him behind! Hahahaha, no – in fact he will be working in London so it was a mutual decision. Plus, who else is going to take my photos??! I’m joking, in fact I’m looking for a part time photographer/assistant if you know of anyone!
This year is my “F*ck it year,” the year that I ask myself… Is there anything really holding me back? Will everything in Sydney still be here when I get back? Do I want to just take off? And the answer is f*ck it! Why not?! Life’s short! You only live once.
I will be living in Central London and will be looking for a long-term rental place once I get there! I wont have a car anymore so I’m not sure how I will go with shooting outfits, as I normally take four huge IKEA bags with me in my car when I shoot. Hahaha – I will have to get used to the tube! Being completely frozen in Winter! Not living in shorts anymore!!!?? How will I survive!!?? But whatever comes along, I’m just going to do it with a huge smile on my face! I am ready for my next chapter!
I will miss my family and friends dearly and most of all my dog, Grizzly. He has been in the family for 16 precious years now… we basically grew up together. But I will be back to visit often and thank god for FaceTime and Skype! I will miss all my Sydney blogger babes! Thank you to all my readers for following along with me! I’m excited to take you along with me on the next chapter of my life!

Awww, such a sweet post … Londres is one of my favourite country. I always tell myself if I ever move, it will be around Europe, especially Londres, since it’s only a few hours away by train. But God has other plans for me instead. ha ha! I would love to take photos for you if I live in Londres. 🙁
It’s going be a new horizon and changes are good for the perspectives of life. Hang in there, I’m with you all the way Gorgeous Ashley! 🙂 -
Ash!!! I am so beyond excited for Scott and you and cannot wait to watch this next adventure! I admire you taking this year as a f*ck it time and doing what YOU want and not letting anything hold you back! Can’t wait to plan a trip to meet up! xx, Erin – http://www.stylebythepeople.com

Aww Ashley, Sydney’s loss is London’s gain. I cannot agree more sometimes it’s great to say f it! Why not, you really don’t know till you just really go for it. Plus you still have your wonderful husband with you.
Now onto London, if you need me to write you a Londons’ how to guide just shout ??? avoid eye contact on the tube, always check the weather, if in doubt double check a couple of hours late. Avoid south east London, with the exception of Dulwich, Blackheath and a few other spots. Again avoid eye contact on the tube, definitely don’t smile at anyone on public transport. Shoreditch is amazing you’ll love it. Although I will recommend the south west for a permanent home, depending on where you live in the south west you could be in close proximity to Harrods. Which is an essential. Most importantly is explore explore explore explore and I have adopted as my new London bff. Ps happy to help out with photos till you find an assistant. Xxxxx -
I’m so excited for this next chapter your going into babe and can’t wait to follow along your journey! Safe travels and don’t be a stranger 😉 Mel xx

I totally understand the “It has always been a dream of mine to move away and live somewhere else!” -that was exactly what we have felt with my husband 9 years ago when we decided to move to Australia. The difference was that we moved from Europe to Australia 🙂 The best decision to move when you had it in your had for long time. London is an amazing place (actually the city where I got engaged) I’m sure you’ll love it! Enjoy your time and all the best for this amazing adventure. xx

This is so lovely to hear. As a Londoner you’ll be fine on the tube! And remember there is always uber ? If you ever want any ideas for photographers etc don’t hesitate to ask. When I moved to Sydney I felt completely lost at sea, so it’s always good to have people to help even with basic things, like where is a good place to shoot or what coffee shop has the best tables for photos!!
Good luck with the move, Naomi xx
